The Trivial Pursuit brand identity had stayed the same blue box with gold type since its launch in 1984. Fast forward to 2006 and its decided it needs a refresh.
We looked into new logotypes and after much to and fro took the decision to keep to the original logo style but simplify the font and take it to white.
With the heritage kept in the logo that left the box open to reinterpretation. Compared to other board games in the market we had a relatively
uninspiring albeit classic design that wasn’t drawing in new consumers. The final layout took an item from each question category and called that out in its respective colour on the front, along
with a collage of other relevant imagery in the flavour colour of the game. All the variants of the game took the same design theme with their own colouring.
